1999
It all started …

… with a hotel in the mountains of Graubünden. It was run by the Cazin family.

Little Darco + big dog

Welcome at the
Hotel Stelvio

But who will act as bike guide?
Son Darco, of course.
Soon the basement was filled
with dirty bikes.

2004
Our First Destination

And what happens if you
want to set up a complete
destination instead of a single
tour? Livigno became Darco
and Fadri’s first “project
playground”.

Livigno (before there was a trail
and visiting mountain bikers).

And today?
Team work!

Random photo shoot with
friends at 3000 meters above
sea level. (Only when the sun
had set did we realize that no
one had brought a light …)

Our first method model?
Developed
at the Rifugio Pizzini after
the World Championships
in Livigno..

Everything rests on your
shoulders/is in your
hands/is your pleasure.
Like the photo shoot on
the Col d’Anzana.

Making it a
Method

The first projects gave rise to a
method – with tracks, tour
guides, trainings, coaching
sessions, photo shoots and
presentations …

Darco acting as
coach before a tour
to the Val
Poschiavo.

Fadri knows how.
And Engadin St. Moritz Tourism
makes it happen.

Woodie The
First

The first pump tracks? Check.
Panicked parents? Check.

Back then like:

Darco during the first test
run with a “test pilot”
(a.k.a. his godson).

Today like:

Hollywood Hills

We went viral years before
YouTube – and reached
millions with this video …

Alta Rezia starring Thomas Frischknecht
and Hans No Way Rey.

… all around the world.

Argentina, The Philippines,
Russia … The world was
watching.

2009
This could become
more than a job …

We took advantage of the
momentum and developed
ever larger projects.
St. Moritz, Lenzerheide, but
also across the border in
Montenegro.

Presenting: our first flow trail.
Made possible by Patrick
Koller, Lukas Häusler, Severin
Beier and the IMBA
Connection.

Service 1.0

Rothorn Gondola (years
before the Bike
Kingdom)

In 2009, we traveled to
Whistler for inspiration.

One of the “Chrises” with
one of the bears.

The IMBA Connection: Since
2004, we regularly exchanged
ideas with exciting people from
North America. In 2008, we got to
know the two “Chrises” – and
have been close friends ever
since.

Day trip to Steamboat
Springs in 2014 …

2014
But who’s this?

This is Claude. He turned his
fascination for mountain
biking into a profession in
2007, explored the most
difficult trails around the
world, worked as a guide and
as editor-in-chief for a bike
magazine.

Pretty much alone in
the Himalayas …

… as tour guide in the
Himalayas …

… and after studying Hindi in
Zurich as founder of a small
NGO. And probably soon back in
the Himalayas.

What did Claude’s 30th
birthday look like?
4 weeks at minus 20
degrees Celsius.

His current adventure:
Allegra management

Let’s grow together

The two-man show turned
into (something like) a real
company.

Britta, Lukas, Patrick and Chris
(who amazed everyone by
organizing a pop-up workshop
on the train on his first day).

Turn around Chris

Lukas and Patrick believed in a
career as trail specialists from
the very beginning.

Gorgeous team, not so
gorgeous backdrop.

Growing Globally

Allegra has grown into
regions beyond the Alps –
with projects in Norway,
Japan, Armenia, and the
United Arab Emirates.

In Japan, khakis are
acceptable bike wear.

Biking is everywhere.
Allegra follows.

Move to Trash

Not all good ideas see the
light of day. The MTB AGENT
app did not make it over the
top …

From screen to trash:
the MTB AGENT

The More the
Merrier

This is everyone. Everyone:
This is the team.

Our team kept growing: In summer
2019, we were 50 (!) people.

2015

2015

Granted, not everyone gets their
hands dirty …

2019

New people!
New hairstyles

More new people! More new
hairstyles

Allegra Austria!

Why only Allegra
Switzerland?

Allegra Austria sounds just as
good.

You look smart! A first photo of
our mixed team from Austria
and Switzerland.

Forget Offices

By now, there are two offices,
one in Zurich and one in
Innsbruck. Since none of us
likes to sit in an office, we
much prefer to work together
from anywhere.

Freeze!

Nope, this is not a stock
photo. Lilaw really looks
that happy.

Allegra Academy

Sharing our knowledge: In
projects like the Allegra
Academy, we share our MTB
knowledge with anyone who
is interested.

Remember?

2022
A New Beginning

With Giani and Domenico, a
new generation joins the
management and sets new
goals. Sustainability becomes
a core objective.

Domenico’s 10 Life Lessons

An occassional glance at the
outside world is a driver for
curiosity

From Regen in the Traufe

Sharing knowledge leads to sales

Learning is fun

Snowboarding is fun

Sometimes you just have to hang
on

We are amazing

It sometimes takes longer to fully
understand

Everybody cooks with water

A good story is all we need

Giani’s passions: mountains,
everything with two wheels, ski
tours, nature & hunting, goofing
around! (Probably his main
passion? The last one!)

Gianis 12 Life Lessons

1. I
2. don’t
3. lecture
4. anyone.
5. Go
6. out
7. there
8. and
9. gain
10. your
11. own
12. experiences.

Alternative Lessons:
If it sounds too good to be true,
it isn’t.

Be kind!

With humor, everything is only
half as bad.
